Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available within a school setting in Hartford, CT, offering an onsite contract opportunity. This role focuses on assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results to determine effective treatment plans tailored to students needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough speech and language evaluations and interpreting clinical data.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment programs that support speech-language pathology methods.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, direct support staff, and multidisciplinary team members to enhance student communication skills.
- Assisting students in developing or regaining speech functioning and adjusting to any disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid State of Connecticut Speech Pathology license is required.
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience working in an educational environment or with individuals with disabilities in an instructional setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology techniques suitable for a school-based population.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, communicating with educators and support professionals.
