Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year, based in Ludlow, MA. This role involves supporting a specialized program designed to assist high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences through personalized educational strategies to enhance independence.
Location: Ludlow, MA
Schedule: Approximately 32.5 hours per week
Contract Duration: August 27, 2026 June 22, 2027 (estimated)
Program: Compass High Program at Ludlow High School, focusing on a specialized setting for students with ASD and learning differences
Caseload: High school students with supervision of an SLPA
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold valid state certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
- Demonstrated understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders and related educational needs
- Ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within an educational team
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to students with ASD and learning differences
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement therapy plans
- Supervise and guide the work of an SLPA
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in line with state requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development
