A contract position is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in school health services, based in Livonia, MI. This role is specifically focused on providing nursing care for students during bus rides, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the commute.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assist students during bus rides in the morning and afternoon
• Provide basic nursing care and support for students as needed during transit
• Observe and report any health concerns or incidents promptly
• Coordinate with school healthcare staff for updates on student conditions
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided during bus transport
• Follow all safety and health protocols while on the bus

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience working in a school nursing environment preferred
• Comfort and ability to provide care in a mobile, bus-based setting
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively during split shifts (morning and afternoon)
• Reliable and able to work independently during supervised transport periods

This position is a temporary contract to cover a leave of absence from April 6 to 10, with the possibility of extension depending on the current contractors recovery. The schedule includes morning bus rides, a short midday break, and afternoon duties back on the bus.
