 Now Hiring: Sanitation Technician

Position: Sanitation Technician
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: 2nd and 3rd Shifts Available
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to join our team. This role is a critical part of our food production operation and serves as the first line of defense in maintaining safety, sanitation, and quality standards throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Tear down production equipment for cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment according to company standards
  • Follow all sanitation, food safety, and quality protocols
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals after completing required training
  • Use PPE properly at all times
  • Work from an A-frame ladder when required to access and clean equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support production operations through effective multitasking and teamwork
  • Report equipment, safety, or sanitation concerns to supervisors promptly
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous sanitation, janitorial, manufacturing, food production, or other physically demanding work experience preferred
  • Ability to perform physical labor throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working at heights and using an A-frame ladder
  • Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to team culture and long-term retention
Requirements
  • Steel-toe shoes with shoe caps and toe caps are required
  • Footwear must be new and remain at the facility
  • Must successfully complete chemical safety and PPE training
  • Must be able to work in a food manufacturing environment
  • Candidates cannot have allergies or sensitivities to milk, soy, wheat, or gluten due to exposure within the facility
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and climbing
  • Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders when necessary
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and physical work throughout the shift
