Job Description:

The Sales Counselor will be a key member of the existing Orchard Cove sales team and the Hebrew SeniorLife Marketing and Sales Team. They will be responsible for developing and nurturing new leads; conducting pre-sales interviews; developing relationships with prospects and existing residents; selling independent and enhanced living units; and participating in special marketing events on and off the Orchard Cove campus.

Responsibilities

  • Sell available apartments to meet quarterly census goals in Independent, Enhanced Living and Skilled Nursing.
  • Timely follow-up with potential leads
  • Work with prospects, their families, legal counsel, accountants and others through the sales and move-in process
  • Accurately track sales encounters and activities via our CRM in a timely manner
  • Assist in the building of a viable waitlist
  • Exhaust old leads-regularly conduct follow-up calls to individuals who previously expressed interest in Orchard Cove
  • Complete all appropriate contracts
  • Gather all necessary health and financial records
  • Actively participate in Orchard Cove resident/staff events
  • Leverage relationships with new residents to build a referral pipeline of prospective residents through their networks
  • Support Sales/Marketing team in larger event planning and implementation
  • Serves as the lead contact for life care managers inquiring about Orchard Cove’s continuum of care, and paid referral organizations such as A Place For Mom and Caring.com by tracking all inquiries, connecting with advisors as needed (e.g. if a lead they send over is already CRM) working with prospect to schedule a tour, and maintaining the information about OC on the referral organizations’ websites.
  • Tracks all sales activity accurately and promptly in CRM.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues on community outreach activities
  • Assist in the identification of new markets and the development of strategies to reach them
  • Assumes other related tasks as required

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in senior living sales and marketing
  • Proven closing skills
  • Full and comprehensive understanding of senior living financial options and pricing structure
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous activities
  • Proficiency in the use of pertinent computer applications including MS Office
  • Experience with CRM software is preferred
  • An undergraduate degree is required

Candidate pre-requisite requirements include:

  • Ability to participate in weekend tours and events
