Education:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (associate degree, Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure
Required:
Current Registered Nurse license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed
Must meet all applicable state Board of Nursing requirements
RN is personally responsible for maintaining active licensure
Preferred:
Previous clinical experience related to the hiring unit
Certifications
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Unit-Specific / May Be Required:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON)
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS)
S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support)
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
Other unit-specific certifications as required within departmental timeframes
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during assigned shifts
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, squat, and perform repetitive movements to complete job duties
