Novant is looking for a Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Coordinator in the Operating Room.  As a RN Clinical Coordinator you will function as a role model, facilitator, mentor and coach for all clinical and support staff. 

  • Schedule: 6:45A-3:15P (five 8 hour shifts), full-time, 40 hours.  Monday-Friday. No call other than some holiday call rotation required.
  • Department: Operating Room
  • Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.
  • Unit Info: 17 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.
  • Requirements: This position requires an RN license with at least two years of OR RN experience & charge nurse or comparable experience.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.  B.S. in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a Regsiterned Nurse in a clinical acute care environment, required. Previous leadership experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as an RN, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
What You'll Do:
  • Helps coordinate work shift activities in the clinical area.
  • Assists the Nurse Manager with continuous quality improvement, personnel utilization, performance appraisals, resource usage and budget management, and maintenance of standards of care.
  • Able to provide care to patients on designated units.
  • Responsible for communicating between anesthesia, surgeons, leadership, and staff while working.
  • This person will be responsible for the orthopedics & podiatry service lines.
