General Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent education and/or relevant experience
  • 3+ years of General Manager experience, preferably in a full-service casual dining setting
  • Proven ability to grow sales and manage a profit & loss statement
  • Reliable transportation and a valid government-issued driver’s license
  • Ability to work 50–55-hour workweeks, including mornings, mid-days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to pass a company background check


General Manager Preferred Background & Skills


  • ServSafe Alcohol and Food Certification is a plus
  • Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and restaurant management software
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Demonstrated passion for hospitality and developing team members


General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and high standards of service
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback, both on-site and via digital platforms
  • Lead, develop, and schedule front-of-house and back-of-house teams to achieve goals
  • Maintain strict safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure product quality and inventory levels are uncompromisingly maintained
  • Manage reporting, financials, and incentive programs to drive performance and growth
  • Foster teamwork and a positive, inclusive environment aligned with company's mission and values
  • Represent the restaurant as a community ambassador, promoting local marketing initiatives and engagement
