Restaurant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the quick service or fast-food industry
- ServSafe Certification
- Proven experience managing operations, inventory, scheduling, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service and effectively resolve guest concerns
- Experience in training, developing, and motivating teams to achieve performance targets
- Familiarity with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control
- Strong understanding of health/safety regulations and labor laws
- Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and other relevant technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Restaurant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Knowledge of current food and beverage trends
- 1–2 years direct experience with leading Burger King teams
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook)
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Restaurant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations to ensure the restaurant meets targets for profitability, quality, and guest satisfaction
- Recruit, hire, train, and inspire a high-performing team of assistant managers, shift leads, and crew members
- Manage inventory, scheduling, and cost controls to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by ensuring prompt, accurate, and friendly service
- Uphold operational and brand standards, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
- Monitor safety, cleanliness, and maintenance to provide a welcoming environment for staff and guests
- Engage with the local community to strengthen brand presence and guest loyalty
