We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Special Events Coordinator to join a high-energy, upscale dining destination in the heart of downtown Chicago. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through seamless event execution.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
- Commission on events booked and executed

What You’ll Do
- Manage the full lifecycle of private events from inquiry to execution
- Drive sales through inbound leads, outbound outreach, and relationship building
- Coordinate all event details including menus, layouts, timelines, and special requests
- Partner closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after events
- Conduct site tours and present event offerings with confidence and enthusiasm
- Maximize revenue through strategic upselling and personalized guest experiences
Events hosted are both intimate gatherings and large receptions up to 200+ guests for:
- Corporate dinners and networking events
- Rehearsal dinners and wedding celebrations
- Holiday parties and milestone occasions
- Social gatherings and private dining experiences
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of special events experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
- Fluency in Tripleseat and OpenTable is required
- Strong sales mindset with a track record of hitting or exceeding goals
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Polished communication and client-facing presence
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
