Restaurant Events Coordinator

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Special Events Coordinator to join a high-energy, upscale dining destination in the heart of downtown Chicago. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through seamless event execution.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
• Commission on events booked and executed

What You’ll Do

• Manage the full lifecycle of private events from inquiry to execution
• Drive sales through inbound leads, outbound outreach, and relationship building
• Coordinate all event details including menus, layouts, timelines, and special requests
• Partner closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after events
• Conduct site tours and present event offerings with confidence and enthusiasm
• Maximize revenue through strategic upselling and personalized guest experiences

Events hosted are both intimate gatherings and large receptions up to 200+ guests for:

• Corporate dinners and networking events
• Rehearsal dinners and wedding celebrations
• Holiday parties and milestone occasions
• Social gatherings and private dining experiences

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of special events experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
• Fluency in Tripleseat and OpenTable is required
• Strong sales mindset with a track record of hitting or exceeding goals
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Polished communication and client-facing presence
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
