Frey Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for outgoing technicians who thrive on building meaningful connections with clients and their pets. At our hospital, technicians are valued for their expertise and education, playing a key role in delivering a positive, comprehensive client experience.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide exceptional patient and client care by ensuring an efficient exam room workflow.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
  • Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity.
  • Support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient care and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.

This position is ideal for technicians who excel in client engagement and schedule management while delivering exceptional care and communication.

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:
  • Compensation*: $18-$22 per hour, based on experience and skillset
  • Bonus package: $2000 based on credentials
  • CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter

Required qualifications and skillset:
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Iowa
  • 3-5 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Anesthetic induction and monitoring
    • Surgical preparation and assistance
    • Dental prophy, radiology
    • Patient handling and restraint
    • Blood draws and processing labs
