Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a registered nurse specializing in school nursing to provide individualized care for a student with complex medical needs. This role requires critical care expertise and involves supporting the student's health and well-being throughout the school day and during transportation between home and school.

Position Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care tailored to the unique needs of a student with complex medical conditions
• Monitor and assess the students health status, implementing critical care protocols as necessary
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Accompany the student on daily transportation between home and school to ensure continuous medical support
• Maintain accurate and detailed health records in compliance with school and healthcare regulations
• Collaborate with school staff, healthcare professionals, and family members to develop and update individualized healthcare plans

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN licensure with a focus on school nursing
• Proven ability to manage complex medical cases within an educational environment
• Strong critical care nursing skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
