The Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for coordinating all facets of the escrow process, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies, while serving our parent company Dream Finders Homes, Inc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to complete routine residential resale, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosure.
- Ability to read and understand title commitments.
- Ability to resolve title issues (e.g., corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments).
- Understands real estate regulations and guidelines.
- Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines.
- Coordinates the closing between all parties to the escrow.
- Returns all calls, voicemails, and e-mails in a timely manner.
- Assist attorney with other legal matters, not just closings.
- Maintains cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promote/solicit business.
- Adheres to company policies and guidelines.
- Minimum of 3 years of escrow experience required.
- Knowledge of SoftPro a plus
- Notary Public
- High School diploma is required.
- A college degree a plus
- Builder Title experience preferred.
