TRC Talent is looking for a QA Technician for our client in Kennesaw
Job Summary:
As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our facility and products meet all applicable food and supplement safety regulations. This role supports daily quality operations, promotes regulatory compliance, and contributes to a strong food safety culture.
Job Details:
- Monday-Friday, 3PM-10:30PM(train on 1st 7AM-3:30PM)
- Pay: $18/hour
- Temp to Hire
Job Responsibilities:
- Sample and test raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Conduct cleaning validations and line clearances using ATP and other methods
- Support internal audits related to GMP and HACCP
- Record and evaluate test data, and report any deviations from specifications
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data for continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure sanitation, pest control, and other policies are properly followed
- Help develop, review, and train on standard operating procedures, work instructions, and forms
- Promote and support a strong food safety culture within the plant
- Manage document control, including issuing manufacturing records, reviewing and approving batch records, maintaining logs, and ensuring proper filing of all documentation
- Review and approve lab analysis reports for raw materials and finished products
- Follow and enforce all company GMPs and SOPs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Experience:
- Preferred: Two years of experience as a quality inspector or technician in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in an FDA-regulated environment
- Knowledge of federal and state food safety regulations, including HACCP and GFSI
- Experience with food safety and defense programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and leadership skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Comfortable in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must have legible handwriting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Analytical and results-driven mindset
- Ability to apply basic math and statistical concepts
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
- Able to stand for the entire shift and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to distinguish subtle color differences
- Must be able to wear a respirator and hearing protection as needed
- Safety shoes required in production areas (not provided by company)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Fluent in English; Spanish fluency is a plus
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED required
