About the Opportunity
A respected mechanical and building systems contractor is seeking a Project Manager of Building Automation Systems to lead the execution of complex BAS projects across technically demanding environments. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from kickoff through closeout—balancing technical coordination, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

The Role
As a Project Manager focused on Building Automation Systems, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders. You’ll oversee all aspects of project execution—from contract review and planning to procurement, scheduling, financial tracking, and closeout—ensuring each project meets both technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review contracts and scope to ensure alignment with project goals and company standards
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with field teams, estimators, and internal support staff to drive execution
  • Track labor productivity, project costs, and overall financial performance
  • Prepare and present monthly billing and financial updates
  • Manage equipment procurement, subcontractors, and submittal processes
  • Lead regular project meetings and maintain short-term lookahead schedules
  • Oversee change order management and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ensure successful commissioning, startup, and project closeout documentation
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all project activities

What You Bring
  • Experience managing construction or building systems projects (BAS experience strongly preferred)
  • Background in mechanical construction, controls, or design-build environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Ability to learn and navigate construction/project management software tools
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and influence teams
