Partner | Employment Law Attorney Requirements & Qualifications


  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York
  • Significant employment law experience (litigation and/or counseling)
  • Portable book of business, ideally $500K+
  • Strong business development and networking skills
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated client matters
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and growth-minded


Partner | Employment Law Attorney Preferred Background & Skills


  • Experience handling management-side, plaintiff executive matters, or both
  • Skilled in employment disputes, workplace investigations, restrictive covenants, executive compensation, discrimination, and wage & hour issues
  • Proven ability to mentor junior attorneys


Partner | Employment Law Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Manage and expand your employment law practice within the firm
  • Advise employers and executives on a comprehensive range of employment-related matters
  • Oversee cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, wrongful termination, and executive compensation disputes
  • Conduct litigation activities, including depositions, mediations, negotiations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, handbooks, and policies
  • Develop and maintain client relationships while generating new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with other practice groups across the firm
  • Mentor junior attorneys and strategically help grow the Employment Law practice
