Partner | Employment Law Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York
- Significant employment law experience (litigation and/or counseling)
- Portable book of business, ideally $500K+
- Strong business development and networking skills
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated client matters
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and growth-minded
Partner | Employment Law Attorney Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience handling management-side, plaintiff executive matters, or both
- Skilled in employment disputes, workplace investigations, restrictive covenants, executive compensation, discrimination, and wage & hour issues
- Proven ability to mentor junior attorneys
Partner | Employment Law Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and expand your employment law practice within the firm
- Advise employers and executives on a comprehensive range of employment-related matters
- Oversee cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, wrongful termination, and executive compensation disputes
- Conduct litigation activities, including depositions, mediations, negotiations, hearings, and court appearances
- Draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, handbooks, and policies
- Develop and maintain client relationships while generating new business opportunities
- Collaborate with other practice groups across the firm
- Mentor junior attorneys and strategically help grow the Employment Law practice
