Position Summary

Members of the Paramedic Education Program faculty are responsible for providing student instruction in the classroom (didactic), laboratory, and/or clinical settings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of instructional modalities to instruct students in the classroom, laboratory,
• and/or clinical settings.
• Aid in the development of lesson plans, course materials, and course documents.
• Aid in the development and administration of formative and summative student evaluations.
• Participate in item analysis and item review of high-stakes examinations.
• Participate in long-term program planning activities.
• Participate in advisory committee meetings.
• Set up and break down equipment required for skills labs.
• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Objectively grade students on psychomotor skill performance.
• Supervise and evaluate student performance during field experience shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

● CT Paramedic license

● Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

● Associate’s degree or higher

● CT EMS-Instructor certification

● AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification

● NAEMT PHTLS instructor certification
