Fleet/Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) Supervisor

The Fleet/Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) Supervisor oversees the dispatch and drivers of Quick Response Vehicles (QRV) under policies and procedures. Monitor and coordinate MCA / VIP member trip assignments.

Essential Functions

  • Serve in a supervisory capacity for all QRV department drivers.
  • Provides regular monitoring and review of all work types (calls, work requests, tickets, etc.) to ensure that contractual and organizational quality standards are met. Responsible for meeting departmental productivity and quality goals.
  • Performs all necessary supervisory functions such as timekeeping approval, performance coaching/development, new hire screening, conducting interviews, scheduling, and adjust staffing levels as needed to accommodate demand.
  • Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel. Conducts annual performance reviews and ensures staff performance targets are met. Takes immediate corrective measures and escalates to HR as needed.
  • Assist drivers with trip assignments, recovery trips, directions, member contact information, concerns, and any issues related to transporting members.
  • Monitor and coordinate trips for QRV drivers, including monitoring the manifest for the following day trip assignments.
  • Monitor and coordinate MCA / VIP trip assignments.
  • Serve as point of contact (POC) related to QRV trips for all departments.
  • Assist with facilitating transportation of unassigned and send-back trips.
  • Work with Fleet Coordinator to ensure all maintenance and repairs of vehicles are completed.
  • Ensure vehicles are equipped with all necessary safety equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Monitor driver and trip status using communication with driver and members, GPS tracking software, periodic ride-along evaluations, etc. as needed to ensure safe and timely transportation.
  • Work with compliance to ensure all QRV driver training requirements are met and documentation is current and compliant.
  • Ensure clean claim processing including certifying trips and correcting claim denials.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on all accidents/incidents per process and requested timeframe. Recommend process improvements. Serves on committees and teams as a department representative and occasionally performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complete HR paperwork as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EMS or NEMT experience preferred.
  • Clean pre-employment screenings: driving record (MVR), background check, and drug screen.
  • Ability to observe and understand business processes ensuring processes are documented accurately.
  • Ability to become a certified PASS, CPR, and Defensive Driving trainer.
  • Able to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must adhere to HIPAA standards.
  • Must be able to provide positive reinforcement to the team and positively encourage the team in all aspects.
  • Ability to work extended hours when the workload necessitates. It could include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • 2 or more years of Transportation / Dispatch management experience
  • Experience with the GPS tracking system.
  • Experience in EMS management i.e., dispatching, routing, fleet management
