Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This part-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is based in Medina, OH, working within a school setting serving a K-12 student population. The role offers approximately 18.75 hours per week (2.5 days), beginning in March and continuing through the remainder of the academic year. This position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist licensed in Ohio who has experience working with school-aged children and is capable of billing Medicaid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to a caseload of around 25 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving each students functional abilities in the school environment.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school staff to support student progress and IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and billing records in compliance with Medicaid requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Ohio.
- Experience working in school settings with children K-12.
- Knowledge and ability to bill Medicaid for therapy services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to supporting the developmental and educational needs of students through therapeutic intervention.
