Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ardent Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Arterial line management; assist with chest tube insertion/removal; BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance; blood product administration; care of ventilated patient; central line care/management; chronic/acute renal failure; continuous IV sedation; CVVHD/CRRT; GI surgery; high-flow nasal cannula; hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun; interpretation of arterial blood gases; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; IV insulin protocols; management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure; phlebotomy; PICC line management; starting and maintaining IVs; suctioning (ETT, NT); Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience; titrate cardiac drips; titrate vasoactive drips; CRRT (NXXT Stage).

Preferred Skills/Experience: Accessing/managing ports; administration of chemotherapy; CVA/acute stroke management; ECMO; external ventricular drain (EVD); ICP monitoring; Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP); Neuro Intensive Care Unit experience; post cardiac surgery (directly from the OR); post cardiac surgery (not directly from the OR); post neurosurgery management; pre/post cardiac cath/intervention; procedural sedation administration/monitoring; pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring; sheath removal; spinal cord injury; transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR); traumatic brain injury. -Previous Charge Experience: Preferred

Required Credentials: All RNs must have NIHSS and EHAC within the last 12 months. Certs can be obtained during onboarding.

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. If candidate resides in one of the restricted counties, they are not eligible for assignment. Restricted counties: Delta, Franklin, Red River, Hopkins, Bowie, Morris, Titus, Cass, Camp, Rains, Upshur, Marion, Van Zandt, Smith, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, and Wood.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; 6 shifts per 6-week period.

Floating Requirements: Float based on schedule.

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
