Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Location: Columbus, OH

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Pay rate: $16.00 hourly

Weekly pay on Friday

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers/Forklift Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials. You'll work collaboratively with a team to maintain organization, accuracy, and operational excellence in our warehouse or production environment.

Responsibilities

Verify the accuracy of the quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
Label products accurately and place them in designated areas.
Identify and locate products during the delivery process.
Maintain an up-to-date and organized account of stock and inventory.
Handle returns by completing necessary technical documentation and coordinating required communications.
Conduct regular maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Convey purchasing requirements and maintain data on low-stock or unavailable products.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues related to missing packages, incorrect deliveries, and damaged products.

Job Requirements

Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
Proficiency in operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, often exceeding 50 pounds.
Capacity to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature fluctuations.
