Join Jackson HealthPros as an experienced Mammography Tech for a travel assignment in Reno, NV. In this role, you will perform diagnostic mammograms, assist radiologists and referring physicians with mammographic procedures, and ensure patient care while representing the facility’s breast health program. The position requires proficiency with mammography equipment and department computer systems, and the ability to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARRT Mammography (M) certification required prior to start.
- Nevada state radiologic technologist license required prior to start.
- Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to operate mammography units and perform diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Experience working in a high-volume hospital or imaging environment preferred.
- Willingness to float to other locations as needed up to competency level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assisting radiologists with mammographic procedures and ensuring diagnostic image quality.
- Familiarity with hospital computer systems and imaging department workflows.
- Prior experience in trauma center or high-acuity settings preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift type: Flex shifts.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
- No regular on-call requirement.
- Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to competency level.
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts. Candidates will be required to work 2 or 3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.
- Facility may call off shifts, full or partial, with 48 hours notice for low census per 13-week contract.
