As a Mail List Processor, you’ll be responsible for making sure the books and other printed materials are processed to get to the appropriate party in a timely manner.

 

About the Role

The Mail List Processor is responsible for preparing, processing, and maintaining mailing lists to support mail campaigns and postal operations. This role requires knowledge of BCC Mail Manager Full Service (or similar) software data hygiene, postal regulations, address quality management, and mailing file preparation.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Reads and interprets customer print orders, e-mails, work orders, etc., to get pertinent mailing and list processing instructions.
  • Review and analyze customer Supplied raw data for accuracy, completeness, and formatting requirements for import into list service software (BCC).
  • Designs and formats label output to meet customer specifications, U.S. mailing standards, postal regulations and discounts, and Bindery requirements.
  • Perform address standardization, CASS certification, NCOA processing, Deduplication, DPV verification, and presorting according to USPS regulations.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, including duplicate records, invalid addresses, and formatting discrepancies and any customer data concerns.
  • Prepare Inkjet output or label files for production and coordinate with mail production, printing, and fulfillment teams.
  • Meets production deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Documents all billable portions of mailing on Mail Recaps that are distributed to Customer Service, Scheduling, Bindery and Billing.
  • Participate in morning and afternoon scheduling meetings to give and provide job status information and coordinate mailing schedules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Main Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
  • Experience in mailing list processing, print/mail service provider, or mailing services environment.
  • Proficient with BCC Mail Manager Full Service.
  • Working knowledge of USPS mailing regulations, Move Update requirements, and postal discount programs.
  • Experience with CASS, NCOA, DPV, LACSLink, and presort processing.
  • Strong understanding of file formats, including Excel, CSV and text files.
  • Experience working with multiple data sets and customer mailing files.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of office machine operation including copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Familiar with Technique Operating system
  • Understanding of basic printing concepts and terminology

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Will be exposed to moving parts and moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
