Leidos Defense is seeking Low Band Surveillance (LBS) Program Operations Lead to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The LBS program is a large and complex radar system that requires a diverse engineering and manufacturing skillset to properly execute. The LBS Ops Lead will be responsible for meeting the mission commitments to the customer and to the LBS Portfolio Manager on the LBS U and LBS V programs. Key responsibilities include leading the program team, management of the integrated master schedule, identifying and mitigating risk and opportunities, ensuring timely completion of program deliverables, and delivering excellent program performance overall. The position requires strong communication skills, ability to lead cross-functional teams, and demonstrated experience exhibiting good judgement. Some travel for meetings and test events will be required.

Primary Responsibilities
Stand up and lead core program operational functions, including Subcontract Program Management, Supplier Program Management, Property Management, Project Schedule Management, Risk & Opportunity Management, Business Continuity, Enterprise Resource Management, Facility Management, Security Management, Quality Management, and the Collaboration Tools team.
Establish organizational structures, governance frameworks, processes, and tools to enable compliance, scalability, and high-performing program execution.
Integrate operational disciplines across the program to ensure alignment of schedule, resources, subcontractor performance, risk mitigation, facilities, security, and quality requirements.
Oversee development and maintenance of integrated program schedules and lead structured risk and opportunity management processes.
Ensure effective management of subcontractors, suppliers, property, facilities, and security in accordance with contractual and enterprise requirements.
Own development of all program data visualizations and executive reporting (PowerPoint and/or PowerBI), translating operational data into actionable insights.
Support proposal and capture efforts by developing operational approaches, organizational structures, staffing models, and supporting materials.
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all functional areas.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12-15 years of experience in the defense/aerospace industry or 10-13 with MS degree years of experience in the defense/aerospace industry
5+ years of experience managing technical programs that involve development and production in the defense industry or similar rigor
Must be a proven leader with good organizational skills, attention to detail and work well as a leading member of a team
Experience successfully leading cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment to meet quality, schedule and cost commitments
Must be a US citizenship possess and maintain a US Secret clearance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer interaction and presentation skills
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area
Preferred Qualifications
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:
AS9100 quality systems and compliance
Risk identification, analysis, and management techniques
Understanding of systems engineering principles, design and manufacturing processes, and quality systems
Subcontract management includes creating SOW, and managing technical, schedule and budget for both large and small subcontractors.
Proposal management includes identifying key partners, developing statements of work for subcontracts, planning and writing proposal responses

Pay Range:Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
