Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of F&B management experience
Experience in leadership of a scratch kitchen as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Chef de Cuisine, or Executive Chef
Manager ServSafe Certification and required state alcohol certification
Graduate of accredited Hospitality Management program or equivalent preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are highly valued
Availability to work holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours during peak times
Able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work comfortably in a busy kitchen environment

Kitchen Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Oversee all kitchen operations ensuring smooth shifts, especially during busy service periods
Lead, develop, and schedule the kitchen team while promoting a positive, professional atmosphere
Ensure food quality through line checks, tasting, and adherence to recipes and presentation standards
Manage inventory, ordering, storage, and rotation to meet food cost and safety standards
Collaborate with management to identify and nurture future kitchen leaders
Uphold compliance with all safety, sanitation, and operational procedures
Respond quickly to challenges or emergencies to uphold exceptional guest satisfaction
