MHS is seeking a part-time Ice Cream Center Manager (ICC) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, including the production and sales of ice cream, plus managing the student summer internship program which is one of the Agricultural & Environmental Educations (AEE) Summer Internship options for students.

The ICC Managers main responsibility is to train and supervise students to produce and sell high quality ice cream, while providing valuable learning opportunities focused on career readiness practices, employability values and skills, and other essentials for post graduate success. This is a seasonal ancillary role that typically starts in June and ends in September. Work schedule during the summer is Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM with varying hours throughout the year. Pay rate: $20.95 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated success in providing youth with engaging educational programming.

  • Experience with food preparation and Serv Safe certification desired.

  • Experience with students from lower-income and diverse settings a plus.

  • Strong skills managing and motivating youth.

  • Ability to role model and nurture high quality customer service skills and core values such as work ethic, integrity, and positive spirit.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate, lead, educate, and inspire.

  • Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for MHS students.

  • Candidates must be all in and willing to actively engage with MHS students including availability for evenings and weekend activities.
