An International Hotel Group seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Maintenance to work second shift during the week (Noon/1 pm to 8 pm/9 pm) and Weekends (9 to 6 pm) with one weekend off per month. The ideal Candidate will have a proven track record of working in a Luxury Hotel, Apartment, or Condo building. Responsibilities:

  • Support Director of Facilities/Chief Engineer
  • Responsible for the daily operations within the Maintenance department
  • Ensure that the maintenance of the hotel, inside and out, is kept up, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general carpentry
  • Develop and implement cost reduction, work simplification, and method improvement programs
  • Prepares and/or evaluates designs and specifications for all Engineering projects, both in-house and contractors
  • Manages regular engineering subcontractors and vendors
  • Supervises the installation and construction of all work assigned by the Director of Engineering & Property Development
  • Performs basic duties of General Maintenance, Electrician, Carpenter, and HVAC person, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, residential, or commercial setting preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent, minimum three (3) years of experience in a Hotel Maintenance Dept.
  • Capable of effectively managing the Maintenance Team
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Ability to work closely with all Hotel departments
  • Must possess or be willing to attain necessary certifications for facilities management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
