Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an upscale or fine dining kitchen
  • Proven success in high-volume operations
  • Strong knowledge of menu planning, purchasing, and kitchen systems
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and lead teams
  • Passion for food, creativity, and continuous improvement
  • Hands-on leadership style


Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Support the Executive Chef with all daily kitchen operations
  • Lead, train, and develop a large culinary team
  • Ensure consistent execution of high-quality, upscale dishes
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitation and food safety
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
