Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and administer health and safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; track findings and support corrective actions
- Investigate incidents and near misses, document root causes, and assist with prevention strategies
- Support safety training, onboarding, and ongoing education for employees and contractors
- Maintain safety documentation, metrics, and reporting to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into daily operations and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in a health and safety role within a technical, industrial, or operational environment
- Experience investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence
- Experience in identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety management systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement
