Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Occupational Therapist position offers a rewarding opportunity to work directly with elementary and secondary school students in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves providing specialized occupational therapy services to support students' fine and gross motor skills development within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group occupational therapy services to an estimated caseload of 40-45 students
- Focus on enhancing fine motor and gross motor skills to promote students' educational success
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with licensing and school policies
- Provide on-site services in compliance with school requirements; virtual work is not supported for this role
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New Mexico Registration as a Licensed Occupational Therapist (RLD) or willingness to obtain it
- New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) licensure or commitment to acquire this credential
- Previous experience working in schools preferred, with a solid understanding of school-based OT best practices
- Skilled in delivering home health or healthcare OT services is a plus
- Strong knowledge of fine motor and gross motor skill development
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time role: 37.5 hours per week
- On-site position based in Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Contract assignment with consistent hours and caseload
