SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Forklift Operators for a client in Elgin, IL. Forklift Operators are responsible for moving raw materials and finished goods from one area to another within both the warehouse and production environment. They will load and unload shipments of various sizes and use different types of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19.50/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include:

• 1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
• 2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm
• 3rd shift: 10:00pm-6:30am

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator:

• Safely load, unload, sort, stack, stage, label, and transport raw materials and finished goods into and out of warehouse/production area using forklift
• Arrange cartons on pallets and load/unload trucks keeping in mind size, weight
• Unload trucks and stage freight
• Maintain attention to detail and complete work assigned in a timely manner
• Follow company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications of the Forklift Operator:

• At least 1 year or more experience operating forklifts
• Ability to work and communicate well with others
• Attention to detail and safety standards
• Ability to read and understand written forms and packaging labels, and write information clearly on forms and log sheets
• Basic industrial math knowledge
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs. when needed.
