FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Warehouse Position

2nd shift (3:00 PM 11:30 PM) $20.00 PLUS AN ADDITIONAL $1.50 per hour (differential)

Requirements:

• Must have experience using forklift equipment.
• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Ability to stand/walk for an 8 -12-hour shift.
• Ability to lift and/or carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic math skills.

Job Duties:

• Picking sorting and making customer orders ready for shipment to customer locations.
• Maintaining accurate case counts at all times.
• Load/unload product from carriers.
• Loading finished packages onto pallets/skids utilizing correct stack pattern.
• Moving pallets with upright and counterbalance forklifts.
• Shrink wrapping pallets utilizing shrink wrap machine and/or manual wrap.
• Inspecting pallets insuring they are up to spec and appropriate for shipments.
• Cleaning work areas and/or maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Keeping work areas organized.
• Keeping fork trucks operating by following operating instructions, performing limited preventive maintenance, advising management when there is a problem that requires vendor repair and/or safety lockout.
• Manual movement of materials as required.
• Counting for inventory as required.
• Other duties as required should there be a business need which may fall under the purview of other logistics personnel job duty descriptions.
