Forklift Operator 3rd Shift (11:00pm - 7:00am Sun-Thurs)

Responsibilities

Transport material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility

Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks or trailers

Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility

Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions

Check loads are secure

Stack empty pallets

Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment

Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines

Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

Dump materials into machine hoppers

Follow instructions for operating equipment and keep records

Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required

High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

RF scanner gun experience preferred

Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be required

Forklift certification per OSHA standards

Comfortable with regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck

Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English

Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively

Must possess a strong attention to detail

Have a good eye-hand-foot coordination; general sense of balance

Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus

General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus

Must be able to work at heights of up to 20 feet
