Job DescriptionMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in Tijeras, NM, supporting both elementary and secondary school students. This contract role offers a caseload of approximately 40-45 students, providing an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in school-based occupational therapy.
Responsibilities include assessing and addressing a variety of needs related to fine and gross motor skills to enhance students educational experiences. Duties involve developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with educators and families, and delivering on-site therapeutic interventions that support students' functional participation in school activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current or ability to obtain New Mexico RLD license and NMPED license
- Preferred experience working in school settings with pediatric caseloads
- Skilled in fine motor and gross motor skill development strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with school staff and families
- Ability to provide hands-on, in-person therapy services; virtual support is not available for this assignment
Location: Tijeras, NM on-site only
