Field Service Technician

TRC Talent is looking for a Field Service Technician!  

Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team. This role requires extensive travel, a 3-year commitment, and a strong passion for learning how to maintain and repair industrial printing machinery.

Job responsibilities:

• Apply the mechanical and electrical concepts related to printing press equipment in a real-world setting
• Complete installation, maintenance, and repair of Heidelberg machines
• Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding the customer’s need to stay productive and communicating the steps required to get their machines operational
• Travel to customer sites regularly; attendance and punctuality are crucial
• Be available for overtime or weekend work as needed

Job requirements: 

• Willingness to travel 80–100% during the program
• 3-year commitment to the apprenticeship program
• Background in mechanical/electrical, mechatronics, robotics, or similar fields
• Enjoys hands-on work and demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Capable of basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting
• Proficiency with basic computer skills
• Must be 21+ years old (due to travel and car policy)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications: 

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions
• High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
