Expeditor

The Expeditor is responsible for monitoring the flow of work from supply procurement to actual product deliveries. They will identify process gaps and consult with management to determine solutions.

ARUP Laboratories is a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and an enterprise of the University of Utah and its Department of Pathology. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Expedites purchase orders to maintain material flow and provide customer requests.

Follows up with the vendor on backorders and past due items.

Investigates receiving problems such as shortages, overages, and damages.

Documents updates in the purchase order notes.

Other duties as assigned.

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.

Stationary Position: Must be able to remain in a stationary (standing/seated) position extended periods of time.

High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.

High School diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience OR Associates degree in business or related field

Basic computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite

Detail oriented

Excellent organization and time management skills

Customer service skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
