- Provide 1:1 support during parts of the school day and/or at home
- Guide structured play, routines, and transitions
- Reinforce consistent language and expectations (we will train you)
- Support gentle peer interactions and “safe body” behaviors
What makes this opportunity unique:
- Work-study eligible through a nonprofit early childhood program
- Direct exposure to a collaborative school environment
- Hands-on experience supporting a child with individualized needs
- Opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting
- Strong letter of recommendation (x2) upon completion
Schedule:
The Mom is a nurse who works 12Hr 2-3 weekdays a week. On the days she works we would like to have a consistent nanny for 0700-1300 on the days she work.
*Also we are expecting in 8 months so infant experience would be appreciated as well.
We are looking for someone patient, consistent, and eager to learn. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing careers in education, therapy, or child development who want experience that goes beyond traditional babysitting/nannying.
