Hiring a Dump Truck Driver (CDL Class B) in Hummelstown, PA!

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated CDL Class B Drivers to join our team. As a CDL driver, you play a critical role in our daily operations, ensuring high safety and performance standards. This position emphasizes reliability, attentiveness, and safety, with responsibilities including maintaining accurate truck logs and the overall condition of your assigned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work in compliance with MSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Prepare receipts and documentation for load pickup and delivery.
• Maintain accurate daily truck logs in accordance with state, federal, and company requirements.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, oil, fuel, and fluids.
• Maintain communication with supervisors via phone or radio to receive instructions.
• Tarp and secure all loads when traveling on public roadways.
• Trim loads as necessary prior to tarping.
• Keep the truck clean and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
• Valid CDL Class B license with 1 year of commercial driving experience or 1 year of tri-axle driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to fit test and properly use required PPE.
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, including lifting and movement.

Shift

• Monday - Friday (flexible due to different job site locations) Could be around 3am-6am.

Pay

• $26 - $27 (based on interview)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $58240.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
