Driver Position
The Driver position at Standard Farms is critical to the daily operations of Standard Farms' business. They are our first point of contact with customers and clients. Drivers consistently engage with clients in a courteous, friendly, and effective manner. Drivers are highly valued in Standard Farms' company culture as individuals and represent our business in every way. As such, Drivers are expected to demonstrate and uphold company values during all interactions with dispensary partners. Drivers help us maintain compliance and efficiency throughout the delivery and distribution process. They are primarily responsible for delivering packages from one business entity to another. At all times, drivers are conscious of upholding all safety and regulatory protocols as required by Standard Farms' Standard Operating Procedures.
Anticipate vehicle maintenance issues, including fuel levels, scheduled maintenance, and tire wear. Be capable of changing the tire, perform regular safety inspections of the assigned vehicle, and be able to safely operate the delivery vehicle in all weather conditions. Load and unload cargo without safety incidents while protecting product integrity. Recognize and report potential efficiency issues in the supply chain/fulfillment process. Report any incidents or delays encountered on the road to a supervisor as soon as possible. Follow all applicable traffic laws and OH cannabis industry regulatory requirements. Report serious mechanical problems to the supervisor or facility maintenance department. Keep vehicle and associated equipment clean and in good working order. Engage customers and clients with friendly, courteous, and effective communication. Communicate with customers to determine pickup and delivery needs. Maintain fluency in electronic and paper documents associated with product transport, including manifests, packing slips, and invoices. Promptly deliver all customer feedback to the management team, including all project rejections. Adhere to all safety and loss prevention protocols per Standard Farms' policies and procedures. Review electronic and paper documents for accuracy and compliance with state and local regulations. Contact the supervisor directly to resolve delivery paperwork issues or discrepancies, and take corrective action as necessary. Know customer location-specific protocols regarding safety and security. Assure the collection and remittance of cash in accordance with Standard Farms' policies and procedures as required. Handle paperwork, such as receipts or delivery confirmation notices. Assist with the picking and packaging of products for orders prior to delivery. Management reserves the right to modify, add, or remove job duties at any time, with or without prior notice, in accordance with business needs. Employees may also be required to perform additional job-related tasks not specifically outlined in this job description, including special projects or assignments requested by their direct manager.

Qualifications: A minimum of 1-3 years' experience is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be 25 years of age or over. Strong Customer/Client Focus. Thorough understanding of the area street grids. Ability to effectively utilize navigation software. Ability to remain calm during stressful periods (no road rage incidents). Self-directed; be able to perform unsupervised work. Every job applicant must pass a comprehensive background check, including the mandates of the local cannabis control commission. A job offer issued before the completion of a background check shall be contingent upon a positive result. A negative background check result may lead to the withdrawal of the job offer. Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform essential physical tasks, including kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting in confined or restricted spaces. The role requires frequent lifting, carrying, walking, and other physically demanding activities associated with loading and unloading cargo. Must safely operate a vehicle in congested traffic, interact professionally with customers, and consistently meet strict delivery timelines while complying with all driving laws. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Ability to enter and exit a vehicle multiple times throughout a shift and remain seated for long periods during transit.
