MHS is seeking a part-time Dispatchers/Telecommunicator (CMT) to join our Central Monitoring team. This is a unique opportunity to use your dispatch, safety/security, and customer service skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth.As a CMT, youll be at the heart of campus operations, handling 15 - 45 dispatch calls daily, monitoring 1000+ surveillance cameras, and coordinating emergency and non-emergency services across our residential facilities & school campus. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and coordinate incoming calls and service requests
Monitor fire, mechanical, and security alarms
Dispatch Campus Safety Officers and Service Technicians
Operate as the central hub for phone and 2-way radio communications
Respond during school closures and emergencies.
Hourly pay rate: $22.33 - $29.81 (plus shift differential), pay is determined based on experience. Part-time employees are eligible for a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program (EAP), and Hershey area discounts.
Work schedule: Up to 29 hours per week: Thursday Saturday, 2nd shift (5:00 pm 10:00 pm); with flexibility to extend to 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 8:00 AM) when needed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience working with security alarm systems and surveillance equipment.
APCO Telecommunicator I, APCO Law Enforcement Dispatch, APCO Medical Dispatch training, preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IBM platforms.
Experience with a Total Quality Management System a plus.
Experience handling service requests, complaints, and issues/problems.
Strong customer service and telephone dispatching skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for the students.
Candidates must be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
