Job Description

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for weddings and events? We’re looking for a Director of Sales & Events to lead revenue growth and deliver exceptional event experiences at a high-volume golf club venue.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on both closing business and executing unforgettable events.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full event lifecycle—from first inquiry to final execution. You’ll:

  • Drive event sales through inbound leads, prospecting, and networking
  • Lead site tours and client consultations
  • Plan and execute weddings, social events, and club functions
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the process
  • Be on-site and hands-on to ensure events run seamlessly
  • Partner closely with the Food & Beverage team
  • Collaborate with and support an Assistant/Event Manager

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in event sales and execution (weddings strongly preferred)
  • A self-starter who can generate business and close deals
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A hands-on approach—you’re just as comfortable running an event as you are selling it
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, polished, and client-focused

Compensation

  • Base salary: $60,000 – $70,000
  • Commission: 2.5% – 4% per event (based on lead source)
  • On-target earnings: $85,000 – $95,000+
  • High performers have the potential to exceed six figures
