Job Description

Job duties include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, cleaning equipment and facility, delivering products by car and to customer's door, and delivering flyers and door hangers. Requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards. Access to an insured vehicle for delivery is necessary. Training and orientation are provided on the job. Communication skills are essential to comprehend and give correct written instructions, and to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential functions and skills include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen, navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product, and perform various physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, and reaching.

Work conditions include exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas, sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk-in cooler, hot surfaces/tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing abilities include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work along and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and reaching are all part of the job.
