Job Summary and Qualifications
Performs Works closely with Physicians and Radiologists to ensure the delivery of the diagnosis for the patients. Must have ability to work in demanding situations with high volume management. Able to work under pressure, coordinating and prioritizing workflow. Expected to become proficient on multiple scanner types, and provide service at multiple locations. The CT Technologist is expected to have a high level of knowledge in cross sectional anatomy and some understanding of pathology Proficiency in operation of CT scanner, electronic imaging, reconstructions, CT angiography, PACs, and image analysis. Understands CT protocol application, selection and /or modification to provide highest quality images with lowest possible dose. Under direction of radiologists continuously keeps abreast of dose recommendations, vendor modification requirements, and opportunities for improvement. Demonstrates knowledge of positioning requirements, accurate scouts, and protocol modification by diagnosis. Works as part of Imaging services with close interaction with physicians, demonstrating full understanding of clinical diagnosis as it pertains to images obtained. Adheres to established protocols by Radiologists. CT technologists must have ability to work with efficiency, initiative, and independence in the performance of procedures and decision making Must demonstrate findings accurately with all indicated.What You Will Do In This Role:
* You will prepare patients for CT exam, explains procedure and ensure technical quality.
* You will promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education.
* You will possess knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to work accurately within the Imaging Department.
* You will work as a team player and meet the needs of the Imaging Department.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
* Associate Degree, Diploma or BSRT degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
* Current licensure by the Texas Department of Health as an MRT/TMB license is required.
* Current registration with ARRT(R)(CT) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is required.
* American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required.
