CDL Class A Driver
3 days agoJob Description
CDL-A Truck Driver
Operating Area: Atlanta, GA 30303
Weekly Pay $1,400 to $1,550
Freight Overview
This position is designed for experienced CDL-A drivers who want steady miles and efficient freight movement without spending unnecessary time waiting at docks. Freight runs across the lower 48 states and focuses on keeping drivers moving consistently throughout the week.
Loads consist of dry van freight that is completely no-touch for drivers. Most shipments move through drop and hook operations, allowing drivers to keep their wheels turning and maintain stronger weekly mileage without long delays at shipping facilities.
Dispatch teams focus on maintaining efficient routing and consistent load planning so drivers can stay productive across each trip cycle.
Home Time
Drivers typically receive two full days of home time every other week. This schedule supports consistent earnings while still allowing drivers to reset and spend time at home between trips.
Compensation
Weekly Pay $1,400 to $1,550
A minimum pay protection program helps provide stability when weather conditions or unexpected delays reduce available miles during a given week.
Additional compensation includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus and $1,000 orientation pay provided during onboarding.
Equipment
Drivers operate late-model automatic tractors including Freightliner, Volvo, and Peterbilt equipment. Trucks are maintained through structured service programs to support reliable performance across long-haul routes.
Driver Requirements
Drivers must meet one of the following experience levels:
- Six months of CDL-A experience within the last two years
- One year of CDL-A experience within the last three years
Benefits
Drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage along with 401K and profit sharing. Additional benefits include disability coverage, life insurance, and vacation pay to support long-term financial planning and time away from the road.
