CDL-A Truck Driver
Job Type: OTR Refrigerated | Weekly Pay: $1,350 to $1,450 | Home Time: 6 days off per month | Freight: No-touch refrigerated freight (protein and general commodities) | Location: Huntsville, AL
Role Overview: This Class A CDL driver position is built around predictable dispatch planning and steady miles. Drivers are assigned loads in advance, allowing for a clear understanding of weekly expectations. A CDL A driver can expect consistent movement, limited downtime, and a focus on maintaining productivity across longer routes.
Weekly Expectations: CDL A Drivers typically run 2,500 to 3,000 miles per week. Freight is positioned to reduce delays between assignments, supporting a continuous flow from pickup through delivery. The structure is designed to maintain steady work without frequent interruptions or last-minute changes.
Equipment: Drivers operate Kenworth T680 trucks with automatic transmissions and long-haul support features.

Freight Details: Freight is no-touch and includes refrigerated and general commodity loads such as boxed beef, chicken, pork, and beverage products. A CDL-A truck driver operates across Midwest to East Coast lanes with consistent freight demand.
Home Time & Schedule: Home time is structured as 6 days off per month with advance scheduling required. Drivers can plan time off based on availability and preference. This is not a weekly home time role.
Pay & Additional Earnings: Compensation is supported by consistent mileage and dispatch stability. Layover and detention pay are available when applicable.

Benefits: Medical, dental, and life insurance are available along with a 401(k) with company match and paid vacation. Passenger policy is available. Orientation is provided with travel arranged and pays $100 per day.
Requirements: A Class A CDL driver must have at least 3 months of recent OTR or regional experience, or more time driving than not. A valid CDL-A license is required and must match the driver's state of residence prior to dispatch. Drivers must meet safety standards with no recent major violations or clearinghouse issues.
