Account Executive - Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven track record in new business acquisition, especially with a hunter mentality
- Comfortable conducting in-person and live phone call prospecting and sales
- Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Able to manage both new client acquisition and ongoing relationships effectively
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage an active pipeline
- Basic Excel, Microsoft 365, and financial understanding (pricing, margins, etc.)
- Ability to work independently within an assigned territory
Account Executive - Preferred Background & Skills
- Prior experience in facility services, janitorial, or B2B service sales
- Familiarity with commercial accounts or contract-based services
- Experience operating in local territory sales environments
Account Executive - Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business through prospecting, networking, and geographic outreach
- Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers across property types, including commercial offices, education, religion, entertainment, multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, retail, warehousing, and industrial environments.
- Conduct site visits, assess client needs, and recommend tailored janitorial solutions
- Prepare and present pricing proposals as well as service agreements
- Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities
- Partner closely with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery
- Maintain strong client relationships to support retention and account growth
- Track pipeline, sales activity, and performance through CRM tools
